I like this video.
Life has changed a fair bit since I last posted. As many of you know, the change revolves around my work-life – I’ve left The Japanese Company and joined White Rabbit Press.
It’s a joy to work for a company that operates based on common sense and trust, a company that has loyal customers who absolutely love the products and service (they really do, never seen anything like it before!). A company where I am responsible for setting my own goals and using my skills to reach those goals, and where neither a business suit nor a monkey suit are required.
It’s the first time I can remember myself wanting to tell people about the company that I work for, and the first time I’ve wanted to carry on working once home (because work is enjoyable and gives me a sense of accomplishment). Having a job that has meaning has removed the incessecant nag that I’ve had for the past year, that being ‘what is the meaning of life?’
It’s all quite novel really.
In other news, WordPress.com kindly decided to have their first outage in about 18 months yesterday afternoon when I was running a WordPress workshop. Talk about timing! Partly due to this things did not go as well as I had hoped, but there were other factors that I knew beforehand may have been problematic (and were), but which I chose to ignore. Lesson: Act in accordance with gut instinct.
I’ve been saying ‘No’ more, and I intend to carry on saying no for a while; this has resulted in a significant drop in stress levels. Life is generally more relaxed. I cycle to work, I cycle to friend’s houses, I cycle home.
I’ve cut right back on Twittering, partly because I’m no longer frustrated in my day job. And for the time being I don’t feel the need to blog either. Actually, writing this is proving to be quite time consuming, as I’m so satisfied with life that I feel no burning desire to get anything off my chest.
Perhaps I’ll give it a rest for a while.
Hmm.
Now I think I’ll go to bed and read a book π
You’re at White Rabbit?!
Haha, from the beginning of my blogging life, I recommended kanji cards as the key to how I knocked over JLPT1, but the cards I have (which are great) are out of print and after some searching and recommendations, White Rabbit’s cards are the ones I recommend.
Check it out, I plug you guys in my third most viewed vid

If you don’t mind I might add the video to a new flash card splash site I’m setting up… Will probably link to it with a time marker
