  1. Cor found this blog not long ago and have been reading it from 2004 (when you start Sheffield as I’m going to do Japanese in 2009 at Sheffield). Well done on all your achievements, and fulfilling your dreams and graduating. Congratulations too on your wedding. Keep on going, and I mean all this in the sincerest, and non-generic though I don’t think that’s been achieved, way. You show it can be done.

  2. Hi Anon,

    Thank you!

…and Wow! That’s great news! Good decision 🙂 You won’t regret it! It’s a tough course, but with such fantastic support available from staff and the feeling of camaraderie that is generated amongst the students it’s perfectly possible – and very enjoyable.

All the best with teh course, and do let me know if there’s anything I can help with.

Thanks for the congrats on the wedding too – last minute prep now underway!

  3. Congratulations on the graduation and your soon-to-be new role as a husband, everything must be so exciting and strange at the same time.

I’ve been following your blog for awhile now too, and really appreciate the thoughtfulness and dedication you give to your writings. Good luck with everything 🙂

Anon, Sheffield is a fantastic place, just small enough to feel homely but with a hint of city. Next academic year I’m in the last year of my Biology course and so far its been a great experience, and meeting the love of my life along the way has been a real bonus 🙂

    Nikki xx

  4. Hurray, you picked a photo with me actually there! My hat’s backwards – can you tell?

Congratulations to all of us! Here’s hoping that we all keep in touch and move on to more and more interesting things as the years go on.

  5. Thank you Nikki! I’m just trying to think, have we met? I do know a few Nikki’s…

Amelia: I hadn’t spotted your hat being backwards – perhaps a job for Photoshop?!

    Thanks rajesh 🙂
